 Those who have old vinyl records cannot do without one of these because many nostalgic tunes are there in the records though not many new productions are released in that. But countries like US have still demand for these equipment. Very important to maintain the records also called the LP (long play) records from heat and dust. They are recorded on analog format. And the reproduction is an electromechanical processes done using piezo-electric crystals, where sound is producted from a pressure on the crystal from the record groves converted to electrical signals. So if the groves are dusty and dirty, sound would be noisy. But high on quality of reproduction in case one could afford and maintain them. |
